If you are unaware, James and I have both worked in hospitality and generating a moorish wine is very much on the forefront of our minds each vintage. We aim for a wine where you are halfway through you and already ordering another bottle. A characteristic that we see from the saltwater site is the presence of a saline mid palate, this rounds out the up front fruit and the tannins and length on the back end. The Saltwater pinot stands out for hospitality or food lovers. More towards the Marsannay side, whereas the Coal river looks more like a Nuits-St-George. 

It's no secret James loves this vineyard. “It's an outline, unique and unapologetically brilliant”. This wine is an absolute bargain and will be the last time you have the opportunity to grab some at this price point, it's just too rare and too special.
